Electronic turbo-compressor management delivers a broad torque under all operating conditions

  • Closed cooled turbochargers feature a ball bearing supported shaft for enhanced durability
  • An enhanced compressor wheel design provides greater airflow for enhanced power and torque and improved sound quality

Integral exhaust system designed and developed specifically for QC4v

  • Pulse separated exhaust tuning (from Mercury Racing’s expertise in high performance 2-stroke engines) improves low RPM turbocharger response

Corrosion:

  • Engine and turbocharger center sections are closed cooled for enhanced corrosion protection and engine durability
    • The charge cooler is made of a military specification alloy for excellent corrosion resistance

Advanced Electronics:

  • Propulsion Control Module (PCM) microprocessor with race specific fuel calibration
  • Digital Throttle and ShiftEngine Guardian: real-time, self-protection engine fault diagnostics and messaging
    • Single-turn “SmartStart”
    • Automatic throttle synchronization
    • “Shadow mode” (where two levers control three or four engines)
  • Sequential fuel and spark
  • 95 amp charging system (50% more output compared to competitive models) – ample power supply for today’s advanced marine electronics

    • Two inches shorter resulting in an overall lower center of gravity for improved handling and overall boat performance

    • Innovative design splits the torque load for a high power capacity while maintaining a slim gear housing shape for hydrodynamic efficiency
