This year marks the 75th anniversary of the heralded Miami International Boat Show. We’re excited to be part of the historic event at the all-new location at the Miami Marine Stadium & Basin. As usual, Mercury Racing has a number of exciting new products at the show.
DSI (Diesel Spark Ignition) Outboard

We’ve released yet another specialty engine for light duty commercial and military patrol boat applications; the EPA Certified DSI (Diesel Spark Ignition) Outboard. The new DSI engine joins the U.S. Department of Defense spec diesel outboard we released in May 2015. Both models feature Mercury Racing’s exclusive spark ignition, direct fuel injected 2-stroke technology which enables them to run on readily available ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel.
Performance Active Trim
We are excited to introduce Performance Active Trim, an integrated boat speed-based engine trim system specifically for performance applications where the gearcases are running partially surfaced.

This intuitive, hands-free system automatically adjusts trim angle for changes in operating conditions to maximize performance and boat handling at speeds up to 50 mph. New performance boaters are now able to enjoy properly trimmed engines with virtually no learning curve, while experienced boaters will no longer need to monitor and adjust trim upon changes in boat speed or turns.
Custom Color K-Planes

Mercury Racing® K-Planes® have long been considered the gold standard of trim tab design, durability and performance. K-Planes feature a strong, corrosion resistant aluminum casting with large support ribs for enhanced durability. New for 2016, Custom Color Options will enable boaters to color match the tabs to boat graphics and color optioned Mercury Racing NXT6 & M8 sterndrives.
