We are pleased to announce Matt Dudarenke of Fond du Lac Wisconsin has been awarded the inaugural Mercury Racing Future Tech education scholarship. The goal of the $1,200 scholarship is to alleviate financial stress of post-secondary education for prospective future Mercury Racing technicians.
Mercury Racing relies on skilled individuals with a strong work ethic and passion to build and service niche products. The Future Tech scholarship will help grow the local workforce by providing the education and tools needed to succeed.
The scholarship is available to high school seniors from a public or private high school within the school districts of Fond du Lac, North Fond du Lac, Rosendale-Brandon, Waupun, Oakfield, Lomira, Campbellsport, and New Holstein. Matt attended Horace Mann High School in North Fond du Lac.
Additional Scholarship Criteria:
- Cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Student must plan to receive education in trade-related field as a full-time student in the semester following high school graduation
- Must demonstrate an emphasis in engineering, math or mechanical / technical course work via submission of high school transcript
Mercury Racing Director of Engineering Jeff Broman presented Dudarenke the $1,200 scholarship check at a May 15th award ceremony.
Matt will attend Fox Valley Technical College in the fall where he will pursue a degree in Electro Mechanical Technology.
“We are excited to recognize Matt whose school work, skill set, and future academic plans demonstrate passion for the water and, like Mercury Racing, pursues power and performance,” said Broman.
