Mercury Racing will put marine high performance and technology on display at the 2021 Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week, September 30-October 3 in Newport, R.I. Rated as one of the top auto spectacles in North America, this annual event celebrates the diversity, elegance, and timelessness of classic and modern vehicles and the people who bond with them. A week’s worth of car showcases, seminars, and luxurious events reaches a climax on Sunday with the Audrain Newport Concours d’Elegance.

“Mercury Racing looks forward to presenting the pinnacle of high-performance powerboating to guests at the Audrain Newport Concours,” said Steve Miller, Mercury Racing Director of Customer Experience. “It’s an opportunity to bring together motorsports enthusiasts who appreciate beauty and power in all forms.”

Mercury Racing will participate throughout the event. From Thursday through Sunday a static display at the Concours Village at the International Tennis Hall of Fame will feature Raging Bull, a fabulous custom 48-foot MTI catamaran with styling detail inspired by the original owner’s Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50° Anniversario automobile, a model built to commemorate Lamborghini's 50th Anniversary. Engineered by Marine Technology Inc., of Wentzville, Mo., and owned by Matt Gabriel of New Jersey, the boat is powered by a pair of Mercury Racing 1350 engines, each a twin-turbocharged, 9.0-liter DOHC V8 rated at 1350hp. Paired with Mercury Racing M8 outdrives, the Mercury Racing 1350 engines are capable of propelling Raging Bull to a top speed of 175 mph.

On Saturday, October 2, Mercury Racing will offer sea trials by appointment of two high-performance boats during the Cars & Coffee gathering at Fort Adams State Park. Participants will have a chance to ride along in a 39-foot Nor-Tech 390 Sport powered by four Mercury Racing 450R outboards, or in an Outerlimits SL50X, a 50-foot carbon fiber V-hull powered by twin Mercury Racing Dual Cal 1350/1550 engines, capable of more than 150 mph top speed.

“This event offers us an opportunity to showcase the combined performance capability of Outerlimits and Mercury Racing to an audience that appreciates craftsmanship and thrilling performance,” said Dan Kleitz, Outerlimits sales manager. “Going fast on the water is a very different experience from going fast on the road.”

To request a sea trial appointment, visit Mercury Racing at the Concours Village before Saturday morning. Sea trial boats will be piloted by professional captains.
