HP1075 SCi
Overview
The 1075 SCi has had international success in offshore racing competition - winning numerous U.I.M. Class 1 races and was the power behind Team CRC's Offshore Super Series Cat Extreme World Championship. Its 800 rpm idle speed has revolutionized sport boating. Shifting into and out of gear is smooth as silk, making docking much easier.
Carbon fiber valve covers, air inlet resonators and engine cover are the differentiating birthmarks that set the 1075 SCi apart from its baby brother, the 850 SCi.
New engine aesthetics include clear polished pulleys and clear anodized hose fittings. The 1075 SCi comes with universal engine mounts for enhanced engine installation fit and finish.
A new bronze sea pump housing enhances protection for boats used in the corrosive salt water environment. Twin flame arrestors also act as air filters, keeping the engine's air induction system clean and efficient.
Life begins in Mercury Racing's four-cycle Race Shop. Technicians spend over 100 hours building the 557 cu. in. engines from bare block to completion using specialized components throughout the engine.
