The versatile OptiMax 250XS outboard continues to demonstrate the extended operating range and durability of Mercury's two-cycle, direct fuel injection, low-emissions technology, without sacrificing the performance one expects from Mercury Racing. The ability to carry less fuel reduces weight, while enhancing overall boat efficiency and performance.

The 250XS has proven itself so well in the field that it has spawned the birth of the all-new Mercury 250 Pro XS outboard available from Mercury Outboards.

Purists will be pleased to know Mercury Racing 250XS models are available with heavy-duty Sport Master or Fleet Master gearcases in 20" - 30" shaft lengths in both right-hand and left-hand rotation.

Engine upgrades include new Multistrike coils for improved idle and overall running quality. The new PCM controller features increasedcapacity real-time monitoring of engine and vessel data. New exhaust bucket design reduces engine operating sound levels.
